Mazara del Vallo is a town on the West coast of Sicily, Italy. It is home to the largest fishing harbour in Italy. Among Italian towns, Mazara is arguably the one with most Arab influences. This is evident from many aspects, in particular the architecture of the city centre which is indeed known as The Kasbah.
The workshop will be held at Centro Polivalente, located at Piazza Plebiscito 7, a former Jesuit college next door to the picturesque roofless Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio.
Just out of the town (about 4 Kms from the workshop site), there is a nice, 2km-long, sandy beach, Litorale di Tonnarella,
